Uninstalling an App from an Individual Device


Private Apps

  1. In the Esper Console, click on Devices on the left navigation bar
  2. Click View Details on the Device tile for the device on which you are uninstalling the app
  3. Click the Apps tab
  4. Click Enterprise Apps
  5. Click the ellipsis (...) in line with the app you wish to uninstall
  6. Select Uninstall from the dropdown menu

Google Apps

  1. In the Esper Console, click on Devices on the left navigation bar
  2. Click View Details on the Device tile for the device on which you are uninstalling the app
  3. Click the Apps tab
  4. Click Google Apps
  5. Click the ellipsis (...) in line with the app you wish to uninstall
  6. Select Uninstall from the dropdown menu

Preloaded Apps

  1. In the Esper Console, click on Devices on the left navigation bar
  2. Click View Details on the Device tile for the device on which you are uninstalling the app
  3. Click the Apps tab
  4. Click Preloaded Apps
  5. Click the ellipsis (...) in line with the app you wish to install
  6. Select Set App State from the dropdown menu
  7. Click Hide
  8. Click Save Changes

Uninstalling an App from a Group of Devices

Private Apps

  1. In the Esper Console, click on Group on the left navigation bar
  2. Click View Details on the tile for the group on which you are installing the app
  3. Click the Apps tab
  4. Select Uninstall for the Select App Action dropdown
  5. Select the app you wish to install from the Select App dropdown
  6. Select the version you wish to install from the Select Version dropdown
  7. Click Uninstall.

Google Apps

  • The capability to uninstall a Google Play store app from a group is coming soon. For now, you can run a script provided by Esper support to uninstall a Google app from a group.

Preloaded Apps

  • The capability to uninstall a preloaded app from a group is coming soon. For now, you can run a script provided by Esper support to uninstall a preloaded app from a group.
  • NOTE: Some preloaded apps are designed to be impossible to uninstall by device manufacturers; these can be hidden but they cannot be uninstalled.
