Uninstalling an App from an Individual Device
Private Apps
- In the Esper Console, click on Devices on the left navigation bar
- Click View Details on the Device tile for the device on which you are uninstalling the app
- Click the Apps tab
- Click Enterprise Apps
- Click the ellipsis (...) in line with the app you wish to uninstall
- Select Uninstall from the dropdown menu
Google Apps
- In the Esper Console, click on Devices on the left navigation bar
- Click View Details on the Device tile for the device on which you are uninstalling the app
- Click the Apps tab
- Click Google Apps
- Click the ellipsis (...) in line with the app you wish to uninstall
- Select Uninstall from the dropdown menu
Preloaded Apps
- In the Esper Console, click on Devices on the left navigation bar
- Click View Details on the Device tile for the device on which you are uninstalling the app
- Click the Apps tab
- Click Preloaded Apps
- Click the ellipsis (...) in line with the app you wish to install
- Select Set App State from the dropdown menu
- Click Hide
- Click Save Changes
Uninstalling an App from a Group of Devices
Private Apps
- In the Esper Console, click on Group on the left navigation bar
- Click View Details on the tile for the group on which you are installing the app
- Click the Apps tab
- Select Uninstall for the Select App Action dropdown
- Select the app you wish to install from the Select App dropdown
- Select the version you wish to install from the Select Version dropdown
- Click Uninstall.
Google Apps
- The capability to uninstall a Google Play store app from a group is coming soon. For now, you can run a script provided by Esper support to uninstall a Google app from a group.
Preloaded Apps
- The capability to uninstall a preloaded app from a group is coming soon. For now, you can run a script provided by Esper support to uninstall a preloaded app from a group.
- NOTE: Some preloaded apps are designed to be impossible to uninstall by device manufacturers; these can be hidden but they cannot be uninstalled.
