Installing an App on an Individual Device
Private Apps
- In the Esper Console, click on Devices on the left navigation bar
- Click View Details on the Device tile for the device on which you are installing the app
- Click the Apps tab
- Choose the App you wish you install from the dropdown menu and click Install
Google Apps
- In the Esper Console, click on Apps on the left navigation bar.
- Click the Google Play tab
- Click on the App (it must be approved)
- Click Select
- Select the device you wish to install it on from the dropdown on top left
- Click Install
Preloaded Apps
- In the Esper Console, click on Devices on the left navigation bar
- Click the tile for the device on which you are installing the app
- Click the Apps tab
- Click Preloaded Apps
- Click the ellipsis (...) in line with the app you wish to install
- Select Set App State from the dropdown menu
- Click Show
- Click Save Changes
Installing an App on a Group of Devices
Private Apps
- In the Esper Console, click on Group on the left navigation bar
- Click View Details on the tile for the group on which you are installing the app
- Click the Apps tab
- Select Install for the Select App Action dropdown
- Select the app you wish to install from the Select App dropdown
- Select the version you wish to install from the Select Version dropdown
- Click Install.
This should work for installing the Android application packages (APKs) you have uploaded. You can upload your APKs from the Apps section.
Google Apps
Run a script provided by Esper support to install google apps on groups.
Preloaded Apps
Run a script provided by Esper support to approve (unhide) Google Play apps on groups.
